Giovanna plays the devilishly cleaver character of Cindy St. Jam, Marty's co-host who wants nothing more than to be the star of her own show. When we saw Gio's audition, it was an instant yes!
Born and raised in São Paulo (Brazil), with a US green card and an EU citizenship, Gio's ancestry is a mix of Spanish, Italian, French, Portuguese, as well as Western Asian & African. She speaks Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
Gio has worked extensively in her home country. While living between São Paulo and Rio, she booked several guest spots for TV Globo (the largest commercial TV network in Latin America), including the shows "Os Trapalhões" (2017) where she played an angry set producer; "Malhação" (2017) - where she played a Costume Designer; "A Força do Querer" (2016) - where she was a Bohemian Friend of the protagonist; "Justiça" (2016) - as Wedja, the daughter of one of the lead roles; "Mister Brau" (2016) - acting as dancer role; and "Entre Tapas e Beijos" (2013-2014) - where she played the new girlfriend of one of the lead actors. During this time, she also performed in two feature films, "Maybe a Love Story" (2018) and "A Mulher do Meu Marido" (2018), as well as a few commercial spots.
In 2017, Gio moved to Los Angeles, where she attended an Acting & Entertainment Studies program at UCLA Extension. Shortly after, she began booking a host of different roles, in films such as: "Get The Girl" (Feature--Lead); "Breakfast for Dinner" (Feature--Principal); and of course, "Zero Sum Game", (Feature--Principal), as Cindy St. Jam, a comedic host of a deadly game, and more. Her commercial credits include: Hyundai, United Airlines and Rae Beauty. And her VO credits include: Centrum, and the podcast "Last Known Position".
